Curriculum Overview
Education Alive follows the South African National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) — the same curriculum taught in all registered South African schools. What sets us apart is how we teach it.
Every teacher at Education Alive is trained in LRH Study Technology via the Applied Scholastics checksheet programme. Students from Grade R through Grade 12 also learn Coding & Robotics — a subject offered at every phase of our curriculum.
Students themselves are trained in Study Technology through our "Learning How to Learn" workshop, giving them lifelong tools for academic and personal success.

Academic Phases
Foundation Phase
Ages 5–6
Grade R at Education Alive builds the foundational literacy, numeracy, and study skills that will serve students throughout their schooling. Coding & Robotics is introduced from the very first year.
Students are introduced to the 'Learning How to Learn' checksheet — their first formal encounter with LRH Study Technology. Word clearing and demonstration techniques are practised from the earliest age.
A Key Differentiator
Education Alive offers Coding & Robotics at every level from Grade R through Grade 9. This prepares our students for the digital economy and gives them practical, hands-on technology skills from their very first year of school.

Grade 12 — Matric
Education Alive's Grade 12 students write the official National Senior Certificate (Matric) examinations. Our UMALUSI accreditation ensures that all NSC results are fully recognised by universities, employers, and further education institutions across South Africa.

Teacher Training
Every teacher at Education Alive has completed the Applied Scholastics checksheet training programme. Education Alive is also licensed to deliver the APS teacher training checksheet on-site, meaning new teachers can complete their Study Technology training as part of their induction at our school.
